British government receive complaints

The British government has made a TV ad about the climate problem that human kind is facing right now. The video is supposed to remind and make people realise that the climate changes isn’t just going to affect us but also our children and in turn our grandchildren. But this TV ad hasn’t only received good criticism, over 200 persons have complained at it.

The most common complaints is about the unsuitability for young children watching this video, but there is also some who claims that there are no scientific proofs regarding that CO2 are making damage to the atmosphere and in turn the earth . According to me, the last argument is a perfect example of the weight of these complaints. I mean, there is tons of researching about the environment and it does exist facts that strengthen the bad effect of CO2 on the earth.

Everyone has probably heard of the climate changes several of times, it’s easy to unconsciously start ignoring the danger of the following climate changes. The British government has truly calculated with this, and therefore made a TV ad which will make people think of the problem in another angle. Firstly, the video address two different generations who talks to one another in an everyday situation. This will make it easier to realise as mentioned above, the fact that it will affect our future generations. And second, it’s the grownups responsibility to set with a good example and raise their children to good environmentally conscious citizens.

To end with I will say that it’s just a smart move from the government to use this kind of TV ad that’s makes people react. And of course, there is always somebody who gets teased about new thinking generally and not just in the advertising business. And I mean, if we are suppose to protect our children from “inappropriate” TV advertising, what is going to protect them from future nature catastrophes if today’s grownups won’t act properly regarding the environment issue soon.

Sammanfattning av The human web: A Bird´s-eye View of World History

My hero

My hero

According to me it’s very hard to find out who to write about. When I hear the word hero I’m just thinking of like spider-man or superman, but they haven’t made any differences to my life how unlikely it ever sounds. So I will tell you about another person who really has made my life to what it is today.

Believe it or not, the one and only hero of my life is in fact my mother, and now everyone will probably tease me back in school but that doesn’t matter because then I’ll just tell them that I’m a lot braver then them!

Well, firstly I want to tell a few things about her, her name is Annerli and she is 52 years old and married with my step father Mikael, they live in Mora and have a child together which is my half brother. My mother and father separated when I was about 4 years old, so I don’t remember so much about that. The reason why I chose my mother as my hero is because she is always supporting me no matter what, of curse almost every mother will do that to their child but it isn’t so common for teenagers to realise it. So now you are probably thinking what made this guy realise this? And I’ll tell you, I live in Järvsö and that’s about 18 Swedish miles to Mora. This has made me appreciate every moment I can spend with her and my second family in Mora, or at least almost every moment! I really want you teenagers who have your mother home cooking dinner and cleaning your underwears to realise how much your mom probably are helping and supporting you like no other person.

As a person my mother is very fit and she always has a huge smile on her lips, and I’m very fascinated of how she succeeds with that. She is working on a clothes store and beside that she is working as a gym instructor in a very big gym in Mora called Toka. I have noted from my one experience that it’s very hard to not judge people in advance, especially when you have heard from other peoples that the unknown person is a little bit strange. But my mom just doesn’t bother about what everyone else says, she is always making her own understanding about peoples she haven’t met before. That’s something I really want to improve myself in, and I’ll be glad if I even get close to how good my mom is.

my internationlal contact

Penpal

We where suppose to make contact with an English speaking person in another country. So I started with joining the website called interpals.net and began searching there. Everyone on that site is very social and helpful, so I really recommend this site.

The first days I could only find like Asian and Finnish people (nothing bad with them though) and that wasn’t exactly what I were looking for.
But after a while I finally met a very nice girl who lives in Toronto, her name were Larissa Rizen. She is 16 years old and lives with her family in a pretty big house. Her main interests are to bike, swim, playing basketball, playing hockey and of curse dancing, she is a very sporty and fit girl! She might even be stronger than me!

Me and Larissa had a lot in common, the first time we chatted it felt like we could sit there and write for like forever! We just have the same values about mostly everything, and I felt that I could chare my feelings with her even though we just have met on the internet.

I really think we will keep in touch in the future, I mean what could be better than a very nice friend that also can help you with your English?
this is where I´ll be publishing my english assignments
